Study-Action Teams™
Developed by colleagues at Lean Project Consulting Study-Action Teams (SAT) use other people's learning - often in the form of a book - as the basis for thinking about what they do, what they want to be different and developing a strategic change agenda.
SATs are a great way to kick start a lean transformation or a project because they help align aspirations.
There are standard work methods for:
- reading the book
- discussing the key points and their relevance to the readers' organisation or project
- agreeing the strategic change agenda for the organisation or project
You will find a description of Study-Action Teams in this paper: Hill_Slivon_&_Draper_2007_Another_approach_to_transforming_project_delivery_LPC.pdf
